Transportation

Most people find that air transportation is the easiest and most economical way to get to the Stann Creek area. Bus transportation can be reliable, but takes a while. Car rental can be arranged to be picked up at the Dangriga Municipal Airport. Others find that renting in Belize City and driving down is the better option. Getting to the cayes usually starts from Belize City, but arrangements can be made from Dangriga as well but at a cost. Here are some sites to help you Get Around Belize.

"Belize is one of the easiest places to retire. It's English speaking,
has a low cost of living, and no taxes. And it's in the Caribbean. In fact,
it's probably the last place where you can still get affordable Caribbean real estate."
